Brownell Networks Group

Website Version 5

Naturally, Natural Flow Design would be the designer of its parent company the Brownell Networks Group. The Brownell Network Group's website and its child websites has seen several transformations over the years, and NFD is constantly working hard to push the leading edge of website design techniques. As a result of this NFD has released the BNG v5 template, which is designed to be easier on the eye by using simplistic site designs using a lot of white space.

LDANS

The Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia is a prime example of how NFD can improve the communications of a small office. NFD first of all installed eGroupWare, an open source groupware solution to help the employees and staff communicate and share data with one another more efficiently. NFD then redeveloped their website to give it a cleaner and more professional look. NFD also made the website more accessible to staff to make on-the-fly changes by installing a news management application. Also NFD installed an online community for those whose lives are affected by learning disorders.

L&HFDC

Lozowski & Hadad Family Dental Centre did not have a website until they contacted NFD. They also did not have a consistent image throughout their entire clinic, having different logos on every medium. We provided logo samples and they picked out the one that suited their needs best. We then designed the website and a print advertising campaign around this new logo. They provided content and we applied it to the template. L&H Family Dental Centre is a prime example of a small business that can greatly benefit from the services of NFD.

Author Renee Field

Website Version 2

Author Renee Field was one of the very first NFD clients. She started with only a brief synopsis of her first Book Rapture. NFD then tailored a site specifically to that book, but under Renee's name (Website Version 1). As Renee wrote more books, she asked for a redesign to refocus the attention from Rapture to herself as a talented author, looking for a design that encompassed all of her books current books while maintaining flexibility in the design to accommodate future books (Website Version 2). The newer version of this website also included a blog that is compatible with RSS feeds.

Rapture Book Trailer

In anticipation for the release of her book Rapture, Author Renee Field consulted with NFD to create an Adobe Flash Animation that would hook potential readers into purchasing her novel. The book trailer, similar to a movie trailer, consists of images, music and text chosen by Renee and strung together in an appealing format by NFD. This same trailer was also exported for easy uploading to YouTube.

Hammonds Plains Consolidated School’s website wasn’t the most organized of sites, the colors varied greatly from page to page, the navigation bar wouldn’t stay in one place; the design as a whole wasn’t consistent from page to page. NFD developed a new website using media provided by the school, including logo, images of the school, and school colors. Once the template was complete, content was filtered through for relevance and resorted to appropriate pages. The new content was then applied to the template. NFD also provides a webmaster service handling content requests from visitors, and occasional updates.

Park West School

Park West School has had a long history of different website styles. It has gone from simple, to sleek and back again with every passing school year. There really had not been any consistency between the different site designs; you could say that the website had an identity crisis. This identity crisis remained until NFD was hired to redo the website once and for all. Finding inspiration in the school's puzzle piece awards that were presented to students, NFD's staff finally discovered exactly what Park West School was all about and created a website to reflect exactly that. NFD also provides a webmaster service handling content requests from visitors, and occasional updates.
